Since 2015, Rudy's Country Story has hosted Rudy’s Campaign for the Cure to support the SA Cancer Council through the annual Pink Cup fundraiser to support breast cancer research and treatments at the Mays Cancer Center.

Vulcan Materials Company providing exemplary community support

Vulcan Materials Company's Southwest Division in San Antonio has supported the Mays Cancer Center for the past 26 years through its very successful fundraiser, the Vulcan Fun Shoot. The annual event is a popular clay-shooting competition.

Give Cancer the Boot Survivorship 5K Run/Walk draws 450 participants

About 650 people registered for the 2019 Give Cancer the Boot Survivorship 5K that raised more than $35,000 for the Mays Cancer Center’s Oncology Support Services.

More than 500 people attended the inaugural Living Beyond Cancer A – Z symposium on Jan. 12, 2019. The free event offered information on specific types of cancer, support services and coping mechanisms for the cancer journey.

SA Cancer Council celebrates 36 years of supporting Mays Cancer Center

The SA Cancer Council is a non-profit all-volunteer organization that supports the Mays Cancer Center in the fight against cancer by providing financial and volunteer resources for cancer research, treatment, education, community outreach and patient assistance.

SA Cancer Council Circle of Hope program supports pilot research projects

The SA Cancer Council Circle of Hope is a group of 10 individuals (or couples) who join together to fund pilot research projects at the Mays Cancer Center. In the last five years, the program has contributed a total of $375,000 and support 15 projects.
