South Texas Outreach Foundation increases gift to Regional Campus in Laredo

The South Texas Outreach Foundation of Laredo presented a gift of $60,000 to the Health Science Center. The funds will be used at the Regional Campus in Laredo for various programs and scholarships in the School of Health Professions. This includes support for four students in the Physician Assistant Studies program and matching funds for South Texas Academic Rising Stars scholarships. The award will also continue the Make It Real Academy (MIRA) Fall program for college students. The funds follow an initial gift from the foundation of $50,000 in 2009 that funded a number of billboards promoting the Health Science Center’s programs in Laredo.
