Students Care for Veterans While Starting Nursing Career

Nurse Researcher Earns Rising Star Award from UT System

Carolyn E.Z. Pickering, Ph.D., RN, assistant professor of nursing, received a Rising STAR Award from the UT System, a first for the School of Nursing.

Professor Receives Community Engagement Hero Award

Janna Lesser, Ph.D., RN, professor of nursing, has been selected to receive a Community Engagement Hero Award from the Institute for Integration of Medicine and Science.

Faculty Member Inducted into Tuskegee University ROTC Military Hall of Fame

Retired Col. Clarice Golightly-Jenkins, Ph.D., RN, was inducted in October 2017 into the Tuskegee University ROTC Military Hall of Fame.

Associate Professor Inducted as Fellow of AANP

Wendy J. Lee, D.N.P., FNP-BC, FAANP, RN, associate professor/clinical, was inducted as a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Director of Admissions, Special Programs Joins School

Henry M. Cantu, M.A., has joined the School of Nursing as director of admissions and special programs. This position provides leadership in planning, developing and implementing recruitment, admissions and outreach programs for the nursing school.
