Undergraduate Student Shares Research at Capitol

Arielle “Ari” Chinea

Arielle “Ari” Chinea represented the School of Nursing at the Texas Undergraduate Research Day at the Texas Capitol in February 2021. Chinea discussed her research on the relationship between loneliness and health behaviors among spousal dementia caregivers. This research is based on her work as a research assistant for the Daily Study of Caregiving Relationships and Health, which is supported by the Nursing Advisory Council. Chinea, who participates in the school’s SUNRISE (Summer Undergraduate Nursing Research Immersion Experience) program, was awarded the 2021 Student Research Award from the School of Nursing.
