Azizeh Sowan, PhD, RN, MSN, MSDA, MBA, FAAN

Azizeh Sowan, PhD, RN, MSN, MSDA, MBA, FAAN, associate professor of nursing, became a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurses in 2020. Dr. Sowan also serves as the safety coordinator and informatics and research consultant for University Health. She is an expert in health informatics. Her research aims to transform health care environments through systemic, evidence-based research and QI projects to improve the safety and quality of care with a central theme to optimize the design, usability and safety of IT systems and generate and use clinical data to track trends.
