A New Tradition: White Coat Gifting

Give to the White Coat fund

The White Coat Ceremony is an annual tradition for approximately 220 new medical students as they begin their training at UT Health San Antonio.

First-year students Olivia Chen (from left), Anusha Sherwani, Kristopher Caro, Matthew Reyes, Stacey Uhm and Deshaun Holdipp visit with Larry Holly, M.D. Class of 1973 (center), and present him thank you cards signed by the entire Class of 2023 for his generous gift of white coats.

Today we ask you to invest in these students’ dreams by making a gift to the Long School of Medicine White Coat Campaign. Inspired by Dr. and Mrs. Larry Holly’s generous gift of white coats for the Class of 2023, this wonderful tradition is a meaningful way for our alumni family to connect and make a difference in the lives of this new generation of physicians.

Please consider making a gift to provide a white coat today and support this important milestone in the first steps of our students’ medical careers.

Together, we make lives better.
