School Honors Legacy of Learners

Three years ago, the School of Dentistry began what has become a beloved tradition—honoring graduates’ families who are celebrating incoming dental students.

Each year, incoming first-year dental students with family members who are alumni of the dental school are invited to a Legacy Meet and Greet reception, which is held in August prior to the Welcome to the Profession ceremony.

Graduates can be a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling or other relative. Legacy families are honored for continuing a tradition of pursuing their degrees at UT Health San Antonio.
