Norma Martinez Rogers, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, received the 2017 Diversity, Inclusion, and Sustainability in Nursing Education Lectureship Award from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. The award is sponsored by Nurse.com by OnCourse Learning.
Dr. Martinez Rogers is recognized for more than 20 years as a leader of cultural diversity and inclusion. She founded Juntos Podemos (Together We Can), a peer-to-peer mentoring program for nursing students that assists with retention.
Dr. Martinez Rogers also founded the Cultural Inclusion Institute.
