For Leo Lopez III, M.D. Class of 2015, a brain injury in high school changed the trajectory of his life. This led him to earn his M.D. from the Long School of Medicine.

The Long School of Medicine’s first graduating class was in 1970. Since that time, the school has awarded Doctor of Medicine degrees to 13,578 graduates.
Students Pursue 2 Degrees, Help Underserved

Each year, approximately 20 medical students select to pursue their M.D. and M.P.H. degrees concurrently. Those earning the dual degrees are dedicated to addressing public health issues.
