Welcome to the profession
As a significant step in the journey of dental and dental hygiene students, the Welcome to the Profession Ceremony marks the beginning of their rigorous training with a symbolic gesture — the presentation of their UT Health San Antonio-branded white coats and scrub coats. These garments signify their entry into the world of dentistry and embody the professionalism, responsibility and commitment they choose to embrace.
The event was held in its traditional location on July 29 within the institution’s Dr. and Mrs. James L. Holly Auditorium. Esteemed faculty, mentors, family and friends gathered to applaud each aspiring professional.
