MARK A. MILLER, DMD, MD, FACS, assistant professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery, was selected as a recipient of the 2020 Faculty Educator Development Award by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation.

The Faculty Educator Development Award encourages promising oral and maxillofacial surgery faculty members to continue an academic career in the specialty and provides a financial incentive to Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited residency training programs to retain current and recruit new faculty.

Dr. Miller has been a valued faculty member since 2017 and is a leader in the profession of dentistry. He is currently the director of the oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic, overseeing multiple rotating dental students, graduate program trainees, and patients daily.
