Lea El Hachem, DDS, MS, Elected Vice Chair of AAP’s Pre-doctoral Group
LEA EL HACHEM, DDS, MS, pre-doctoral program director in the Department of Periodontics, has been elected as vice chair of the American Academy of Periodontology’s Pre-doctoral Directors Organization.
“This is an important national position in our specialty and fantastic exposure for our dental school, UT Health San Antonio, our department, and, of course, for Lea,” says David L. Cochran, DDS, PhD, professor and chair of the Department of Periodontics.
Dr. El Hachem is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She received her DDS from the Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon, and completed a post-doctoral program in periodontics at Boston University, earning her Master of Science in Oral Biology and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Periodontics.
