SCOTT E. HOWELL, DMD, MPH, who completed his dental public health residency at the School of Dentistry in 2019, is now an associate professor in the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health at A.T. Still University (ATSU) in Mesa, Arizona.

He also serves as director of Public Health Dentistry & Teledentistry at ATSU.

ANDREW JAMES KNUDSON, DDS Class of 2013, MS, completed the U.S. Air Force’s two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program last year. This summer he went to the Philippines in support of Pacific Partnership.

JEFFREY M. MARRS, DDS Class of 2017, is a general dentist in the United States Army assigned to the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State.

Maj. Marrs was awarded the Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in June 2021 in Austin. In August 2021, Maj. Marrs graduated as the distinguished honor graduate (No. 1 of 62) from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama.

He will return to San Antonio in June 2022 to begin the Tri-Services Orthodontic Residency Program at Lackland Air Force Base.

SAMUEL S. WAKIM, DDS Class of 1990, received the Fellowship Award from Dr. Bruce L. Cassis, president of the Academy of General Dentistry, in Austin on June 12, 2021.

Dr. Wakim currently resides in Winter Garden, Florida, and is preparing to open another new dental office, Clermont Lakes Dental Care, in Clermont, Florida, later this year.

He is past president of the Dental School Alumni Association at UT Health San Antonio.

MARSHALL K. WARREN, DDS Class of 1988, is proud to announce the addition of KELLI C. JIMERSON, DDS Class of 2021, to the Great Oaks Dentistry family in News Braunfels, Texas.
