Norma Martinez Rogers, PhD, Retires from School of Nursing

Norma Martinez Rogers, PhD, RN, FAAN, professor of nursing, retired on May 31, 2021, with 26 years of dedicated service to the School of Nursing. She is recognized nationally as a leader of cultural diversity and inclusion. She founded Juntos Podemos (Together We Can), a peer-to-peer mentoring program for nursing students that increased retention and graduation rates, especially among first-generation graduates. Dr. Martinez Rogers founded the Cultural Inclusion Institute. In 2017, she received the Diversity, Inclusion, and Sustainability in Nursing Education Lectureship Award from the American Association of Colleges of Nurses.
