Maternal-Child Expert Named Nurse Imagemaker
SUSAN MCDONALD, PH.D., APRN, CPNP-PC, assistant professor/clinical and a maternal-child clinical nurse specialist, was named a 2019 South Texas Nurse Imagemaker by the Delta Alpha-at-Large Chapter of Sigma Global Nursing Excellence and District 8, Texas Nurses Association. The School of Nursing nominated Dr. McDonald for her work incorporating graduate and undergraduate nursing students into a health care team led by the pediatric nurse practitioners. The students were integral team members in the delivery of services to underserved pediatric patients during mobile unit outreach events in the San Antonio area.
