School Hires First Vice Dean for Faculty Excellence

JACQUELINE M. MCGRATH, PH.D., RN, FNAP, FAAN, joined the School of Nursing as vice dean for faculty excellence, a new position. Dr. McGrath, professor and holder of the Thelma and Joe Crow Endowed Professorship, is guiding faculty recruitment and faculty development. She came from the University of Connecticut where she served as a director of the Ph.D. program in the School of Nursing and director of the Center for Nursing Scholarship. She has an extensive undergraduate and graduate teaching portfolio. Her research focuses on care of neonatal patients, and she has a history of funded research collaborations. She was appointed a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) in 2007 and a Fellow in the National Academies of Practices (FNAP) in 2005.
