Professor Earns Award for Promoting Community Health

ADELITA G. CANTU, PH.D., RN, associate professor, received the Charlotte Brody Award from Health Care Without Harm, a health coalition that seeks to reduce the environmental footprint of health care worldwide. The award is named for Charlotte Brody, RN, environmental activist and founder of Health Care Without Harm. It recognizes nurses who go beyond everyday nursing endeavors to proactively promote and protect environmental health. Dr. Cantu has a passion for strengthening community health services, assessments and intervention.
