The UT Health Science Center at San Antonio’s Regional Campus in Laredo, in conjunction with the School of Health Professions, held a free conference “Mental Issues in Aging” March 4 in Laredo. Nearly 200 attended the event, which included discussions by Health Science Center faculty experts on various topics related to health and aging as well as hands-on demonstrations in healthy cooking, gardening, physical activity and dental hygiene.

“This is another successful way our university is reaching out to the Laredo community with valuable health and wellness information citizens can immediately put into practice,” said Gladys Keene, M.D., M.P.H., regional dean of the Regional Campus.
