Barshop Institute featured in FORTUNE

The Sam and Ann Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio was recently featured in FORTUNE magazine’s 2010 Retirement Guide. When editors wanted pictures to accompany an article titled “The Anti-Aging Revolution” by David Stipp, photographer Gregg Segal was sent to only one place: the Barshop Institute. Photo captions mention the institute’s research of the compound rapamycin, which extended the life span of middle-aged rodents in a study reported in the journal Nature.
