The event was held on March 5, 2020, and continues to honor the legacy of the late Tony Wilenchik, who lost his heroic battle with Leiomyosarcoma (a rare form of cancer), in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Funds raised from this event support the efforts of the Mays Cancer Center\u2019s research and drug development program. The City of Schertz team has raised nearly $330,000 over the 12-year history of this popular event.<\/p>\n<p>The team plans to continue creating new, innovative and safe ways to engage the community while raising funds to aid in the fight against cancer.
