This event honors the memory of Tony Wilenchik, a beloved former Schertz city councilman and civic leader who lost his courageous battle with cancer in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Schertz and the sponsors and participants of the Wilenchik Walk have raised more than $180,000 to help advance breakthroughs in cancer research through clinical trials at the cancer center.
