The 28th Annual San Antonio Express-News Book & Author Luncheon on October 23, 2019, featured six prominent authors: Deborah Crombie, Steven L. Davis, Nathalie Dupree, Stephen Harrigan, Dr. Richard Selcer and Catherine Stier.
Community support: Wilenchik Walk for Life

The Wilenchik Walk have raised more than $180,000 to help advance breakthroughs in cancer research through clinical trials at the cancer center. The event honors the memory of Tony Wilenchik, a beloved former Schertz city councilman and civic leader.
Community support: Rudy’s Country Store

Since 2015, Rudy’s Country Story has hosted Rudy’s Campaign for the Cure to support the SA Cancer Council through the annual Pink Cup fundraiser to support breast cancer research and treatments at the Mays Cancer Center.
Board of Governors supports mission to reduce cancer burden in South Texas

SA Cancer Council celebrates 36 years of supporting Mays Cancer Center

The SA Cancer Council is a non-profit all-volunteer organization that supports the Mays Cancer Center in the fight against cancer by providing financial and volunteer resources for cancer research, treatment, education, community outreach and patient assistance.
SA Cancer Council Circle of Hope program supports pilot research projects

The SA Cancer Council Circle of Hope is a group of 10 individuals (or couples) who join together to fund pilot research projects at the Mays Cancer Center. In the last five years, the program has contributed a total of $375,000 and support 15 projects.
